Technical ArchitectSalary: Up to 90,000 + BenefitsLocation: Newcastle, London, Leeds, Manchester, Blackpool or SheffieldWorking Hours: 40 hours per weekA globally recognised organisation is looking for an experienced Technical Architect to play a key role in designing and delivering secure, scalable digital solutions across complex public sector transformation programmes.This is an opportunity to combine hands on technical expertise with architectural leadership, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to shape modern cloud native services. The Technical Architect will influence technical strategy, drive architectural best practice and ensure solutions remain scalable, secure and aligned with long term business objectives.Responsibilities - Technical Architect:Lead the design and assurance of technical architectures across large scale digital services.Design scalable, secure and resilient cloud based solutions using AWS and modern engineering practices.Provide technical leadership and guidance on architectural decisions, trade offs and solution design.Define and promote architecture standards, reusable patterns and engineering best practices.Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers and delivery teams throughout the full project lifecycle.Mentor architects and senior engineers, supporting technical growth across delivery teams.Identify technical risks, dependencies and opportunities across multiple workstreams.Ensure solution designs align with organisational strategy, governance and security standards.Work closely with senior technical and business stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions.Support architecture governance, technical assurance and design reviews.Essential Skills - Technical Architect:Strong experience working as a Technical Architect or similar architecture role.Hands on experience designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions.Strong technical background with modern application and integration architectures.Commercial experience with AWS cloud services.Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Experience leading architectural decision making across multidisciplinary teams.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience working within Agile delivery environments.Previous experience delivering projects within the UK Public Sector.Desirable Skills - Technical Architect:Experience shaping enterprise architecture across large or complex organisations.Knowledge of cloud native architectures and modern engineering practices.Experience contributing to architecture governance and technical assurance.Ability to mentor technical teams and promote engineering best practice.
