The Access Cluster is looking for highly skilled and motivated candidate to join the Web Platform squad (based in Belgium/London). You will have the opportunity to work on a product that is used by most top financial institutions in the world and is key in the digital economy of today.As a Test Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic software development team environment where your testing skills will be crucial to the delivery of mission critical financial software to the global financial industry following structured development approaches in Agile methodologies.You will undertake Testing/Automation/DevOps activities of medium to high complexity related to different software components and versions. You will be required to do development work related to software testing frameworks. Given the mission critical nature of our business, strong emphasis is placed on quality, security, availability, resiliency, scalability, performance, and system resources consumption. It is expected that suitable candidates adhere to a structured testing environment and will actively contribute to delivering software to the quality expectations of our customers.ResponsibilitiesAs a Test Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals and applying agile software developments, DevOps/testing/automation and delivery practices.You will actively participate in the whole cycle of development of new user stories: requirements review, solution design, implementation, testing plan and development testing. Understanding problems, solutions and ensuring the overall consistency of the software will be one of your primary objectives.You will share team commitments and own some parts of those solutions.You will perform software delivery tasks (builds, installation of release on test environments, etc.).Our solution can always get better! You will take any opportunity to improve the way we work, the tools we use and the software we produce.What to expect Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product owner) to identify system requirements, develop effective strategies and test plansWork with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleAutomate test cases using appropriate testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortEffectively use AI assistants during test design, automation and testing activitiesCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesDesign, develop, execute and maintain test cases (manual or automated) and analyze resultsIdentify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system, working closely with development teams for resolutionSupport CI/CD-integrated test execution and help troubleshoot automation failuresWhat will make you successful Bachelor's degree in relevant field of computing (IT, Computer engineering, Computer Science, Informatics)A minimum of 2 years of experience in testing and/or software developmentStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practicesExperience with the Selenium test automation frameworksProficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)• Familiarity with Agile frameworks is an added advantageTesting methodology certification (e.g. ISTQB) is an added advantage (or an asset)Analytical mind and problem-solving attitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionOpen-minded, solutions oriented, and a true team player gaining energy through collaboration with othersDemonstrated strong interpersonal relations, sense of responsibility, commitment and customer focusAbility to prioritize work independently based on business impact and urgencyAbility to take proactive actions and have positive attitudeTesting background with experience or knowledge of following are nice to have:Basic knowledge in functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, performance testingFamiliar with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, X-Ray), confluenceAgile Mind-set: You like to learn and continuously improve the way we workTeam-oriented: you take pride from team achievements and are ready to support and be supported by your team-matesVery good communication skills, including remote meeting setupsCurious, eager to learn and to educate othersEssential Technical Skills:Development: Basic Java knowledgeTest Automation framework: SeleniumDev Ops: Ansible, CI/CD Jenkins pipelinesArtificial Intelligence promptingBasic knowledge on POSIX and Windows CommandsAdmin: test reports, Xray tests, designing test cases.Essential Soft Skills:Strong communication skills with a mastery of spoken and written English are mandatoryAdaptability and responsiveness to changeAbility to work with a team in an Agile environmentGood problem-solving skills and a strong adherence to quality and operational excellenceEagerness to learn and understandCandidates with the following skills will have an added advantage:Candidates without these skillets/knowledge are encouraged to apply if they have confidence and willing to be trained.Git/Bitbucket: Basic to good understandingSQL: Basic to good understandingRobot framework basic understandingCICD/DevOps: Basic to good understandingTest automation: Basic to good understandingLinux SELinux: Basic understandingWhat we offerWe give you the freedom to be yourself.
