Technical Bid Writer - Healthcare Digital Transformation

We're seeking a highly experienced Technical Bid Writer to lead in developing a compelling proposal for delivering a regional integration capability and patient identity solution.

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role for a skilled writer with a deep understanding of the NHS landscape and a proven track record of crafting winning bids for complex, large-scale digital initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• owning the response by leading the end-to-end bid writing process and producing a high-quality, compliant, and persuasive submission;
• collaborating with SMEs, programme leads and technical teams to shape and articulate the proposed solution;
• translating complex technical content into clear, evaluable responses aligned to NHS requirements; and
• managing bid planning, compliance, reviews, and final submission.

Essential Experience

• Success writing supplier bids for large-scale NHS digital transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of NHS procurement frameworks and public sector tendering.
• Experience with integration architectures (eg HIEs, TIEs) involving clinical and/or diagnostic systems.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Highly Desirable

• Familiarity with diagnostic systems integration (eg LIMS, RIS/PACS).
• Understanding of HL7, FHIR and shared care record architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud hosting and HSCN connectivity.
