IT Technician

This could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Manchester Academy is part of United Learning, and we're looking for a permanent IT Graduate to join the team. You'll be based on-site, helping staff and students with day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • You must live within a 45-minute commute of Manchester Academy. This role is entirely on-site.

The offer:

  • £24,000+ salary
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00-16:00, with some flexibility)

The role includes:

  • First-line IT support for staff and students
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues
  • Supporting classroom tech and network devices
  • Maintaining user accounts, AV equipment, backups, and security
  • Escalating more complex issues to the wider IT tea

  • A degree in IT from a UK university
  • Experience in a customer-facing role (any sector)
  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Confidence using:
    * Windows 11
    * Microsoft Office and 365 (Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
    * Basic networking and user account setup
    * AV equipment in classrooms
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A friendly, professional manner
  • A genuine interest in learning and improving
  • A commitment to safeguarding and data protection
