Media Systems Regional Engineer (12 Month Contract)
Client: Our Global Entertainment Client
Location: London (with regional travel)
Contract: 12 months
Working Model: Hybrid / On-site support as required
Make an Impact in Entertainment Technology
Our client is a global leader in entertainment, delivering award-winning films, series, and gaming experiences to audiences worldwide. Behind the scenes, their teams build the technology, infrastructure, and creative environments that empower storytellers to bring their ideas to life.
We’re looking for a Media Systems Regional Engineer to join the Global Media Systems Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of creative production and advanced technical infrastructure, supporting the tools and environments used by filmmakers, editors, and creative teams across corporate and studio spaces.
About the Role
As the regional engineering anchor, you’ll ensure the client’s creative spaces operate reliably and consistently to the highest industry standards. You’ll provide technical expertise across audio, video, and networked media systems, supporting environments such as screening rooms, post-production suites, QC labs, and specialist creative studios.
You’ll work closely with a globally distributed engineering team while operating autonomously within your region—maintaining world-class creative infrastructure that enables content teams to produce outstanding entertainment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Technical Support & Infrastructure
- Maintain and troubleshoot complex audio, video, and networking systems across post-production facilities and creative spaces.
- Perform routine and emergency A/V calibrations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Partner with internal network engineering teams to support high-performance media and corporate networks.
- Enable creative teams by supporting post-production pipelines and video encoding workflows.
Operations & Regional Execution
- Act as the primary regional contact for Media Systems Engineering.
- Provide support remotely, on-site, or through managed vendors when required.
- Triage technical issues, drive resolution, and escalate to specialist global teams when needed.
- Coordinate with vendors to manage hardware lifecycles, maintenance agreements, and service delivery.
- Help maintain clear SLAs, escalation paths, and coverage models for critical screening rooms and live events.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with the global engineering team to ensure consistent systems, standards, and tooling worldwide.
- Create and maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and support processes.
- Operate independently while maintaining visibility through documentation, reporting, and global syncs.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Solid experience supporting post-production, studio, or creative technology infrastructure.
Technical Expertise
You don’t need to have worked with every technology listed below, but you should bring strong troubleshooting capability and the curiosity to learn quickly.
Theatrical & Screening Environments
- Experience working with DCP systems, including installation, calibration, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of cinema audio systems including Dolby Atmos and SMPTE standards.
Live Events & Production Systems
- Hands-on experience with digital audio mixers, wireless microphones, playback/record systems, and comms infrastructure.
Audio Production Environments
- Familiarity with Avid S6 consoles, Adder KVMs, and digital audio protocols (Dante, AES67).
- Experience performing audio calibration for mix rooms, screening rooms, and production environments.
- Understanding of acoustic principles in studio or cinema environments.
Post-Production & Creative Workflows
- Experience supporting environments such as ADR stages, edit suites, QC bays, screening lounges, podcast studios, and gaming/streaming rooms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across post-production tools including Avid, Adobe, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools, and Transkoder.
Networking & IP Media
- Knowledge of network design, VLANs, subnets, and switch infrastructure.
- Experience with A/V over IP technologies such as Dante, AES67, ST 2110, or NDI.
What Sets You Apart
- Calm, professional judgment—especially in high-pressure or high-visibility creative environments.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
- Comfortable collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones.
- Strategic thinking that balances immediate troubleshooting with long-term improvements.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to work on the cutting edge of media technology, supporting the creative environments where world-class entertainment content is produced. You’ll join a globally respected engineering organisation while having real autonomy and ownership within your region.
If you’re passionate about media technology, creative production infrastructure, and solving complex technical challenges, we’d love to hear from you.
