We're looking for a proactive Data Governance Analyst to play a key role in delivering some of our clients most exciting and high-impact data governance initiatives. They are a thriving insurance group and this is your chance to help build a best-in-class governance framework from the ground up-and make a real difference across the business.
You'll work closely with the Governance Lead and Head of Data Governance to implement and enhance our enterprise-wide data governance framework. Your mission: embed a culture of accountability, quality, and consistency in how we manage data-setting the foundation for smarter decisions and sustainable growth.
What You'll Do
- Support the design, development, and rollout of the Data Governance Framework and Operating Model
- Help define and maintain key policies, standards, and controls-always looking for ways to improve
- Partner with data, business, and technical teams to embed good governance practices
- Contribute to projects delivering new capabilities, services, and tools
- Help integrate data governance risks and controls into the wider enterprise risk framework
- Track and report on governance KPIs and KRIs
- Drive data literacy through training, communication, and community engagement
- Create governance materials and support the planning of key meetings
- Maintain and improve governance resources, including the SharePoint site
- Ensure Data Owners and Data Champions are supported and enabled
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- 2+ years in a Data Governance or similar role
- Experience working in complex, data-rich environments
- Familiarity with governance frameworks, policies, and best practices
- Ability to gather, document, and communicate governance requirements clearly
- Strong communication skills across business and technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a big-picture mindset
- Self-starter who thrives on managing multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Exposure to Financial Services or Insurance
- Hands-on experience with Data Governance tools (eg, Collibra, Informatica, etc.)
- Understanding of data quality management and risk controls
