Our client, a leading London Market insurance group are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to design and deliver enterprise-level cloud solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. You’ll lead the technical vision, ensure alignment with business goals, and drive innovation across systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement cloud architecture using Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, policies, and standards.
  • Lead design reviews and architecture boards, guiding technical decisions.
  • Provide technical leadership on projects, mentoring and supporting development teams.
  • Establish reusable architecture patterns and oversee their adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise architecture and long-term strategy.
  • Drive innovation by introducing modern technologies and practices.

Skills & Experience

  • ~7 years’ experience in systems design, integration, or software development, with strong delivery background.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services (PaaS, Containers, AKS, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, agile delivery, and software lifecycle.
  • Experience with enterprise integration, governance, and security best practices.
  • Technical expertise in web, service-based, and cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica).
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions with measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and influence technical teams.
