A growing technology-focused business is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of its internal IT environment. This is a hands-on role covering Azure, M365, networking and day-to-day support, with the opportunity to lead small projects and work closely with technical teams across the organisation.
You’ll be the senior point of contact for internal IT, supporting a junior engineer and working across a broad mix of systems, sites and technologies. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and taking full ownership of delivery.
Key Responsibilities

- Managing user lifecycle: starters, leavers, permissions, aliases
- Supporting head office users and static sites (approx. 100 accounts)
- Networking tasks including VLANs, port forwarding, routers and firewalls
- Working with technical installation teams on CCTV and related systems
- Leading small projects end-to-end (e.g., telephony changes, AI rollouts, system improvements)
- Supporting internal development and new technology initiatives
- Acting as senior escalation point for the junior engineer
- General BAU support across internal systems
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8 years’ experience in infrastructure or systems engineering
- Strong Microsoft cloud skills: Azure, Entra, Intune, M365
- Solid networking fundamentals
- Comfortable working in a small, varied environment
- Proactive, resourceful and able to take ownership of projects
- Happy to get involved in both senior-level work and day-to-day support
- Experience in internal IT or MSP environments is ideal
