- Analyse complex business and technical processes, identifying opportunities, risks, and efficiencies
- Define, map, and validate requirements and user stories aligned to delivery needs
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure clarity and shared understanding of requirements
- Elicit and manage stakeholder needs, constraints, and priorities
- Support discovery, ideation, and proof-of-concept activities
- Contribute to value realisation plans, success metrics, and evaluation frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Data, and Security
Key Requirements
- Proven experience operating at SFIA Level 5 (Ensure/Advise) within a technical delivery environment
- Strong background in software development domains, with recent applied experience
- Ability to engage confidently with engineers and challenge technical decisions where appropriate
- Experience writing technical user stories and supporting engineering-focused delivery
- Strong understanding of digital delivery, including software development lifecycles and testing approaches
- Experience working across multiple technical workstreams and stakeholders
- Ability to operate with autonomy and accountability for significant delivery outcomes
Additional Information
- Candidates must be within commutable distance (approx. 90 minutes) of Leeds or Newcastle
- Regular onsite presence (3 days per week) is required to engage with stakeholders and teams
- Stakeholders are primarily technical (e.g. engineers, architects) rather than end-users
- Candidates will be expected to demonstrate practical examples of relevant experience at interview
Clearance Requirement
Candidates must hold BPSS clearance or be eligible to obtain it (including the right to work in the UK). Applications from candidates who do not meet these requirements cannot be considered.
