Senior Deployment Strategist / Forward Deployed Engineer

Areti Group is partnering with a high-growth, specialist data consultancy delivering complex digital transformation programmes for enterprise clients across Europe.

This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of technical delivery, consulting, and executive engagement, working on high-impact, mission-critical data initiatives.

The Role

You will act as both a technical leader and trusted advisor, working closely with senior stakeholders to design, deliver, and scale advanced data platform solutions.

This role requires a strong balance of hands-on engineering expertise and client-facing consulting skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives
• Translate technical solutions into business value
• Provide strategic guidance and influence decision-making

🔹 Digital Transformation & Consulting

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data transformation programmes
• Advise on data strategy, governance, and platform adoption
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

🔹 Technical Leadership

• Architect and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions
• Design and optimise data pipelines (ETL/ELT), integrations, and workflows
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams

🔹 Training & Enablement

• Deliver workshops and training sessions to client teams
• Support adoption of data platforms and best practices
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability development

Required Experience

• 5+ years in data engineering, consulting, or similar roles
• Proven experience delivering complex, client-facing data projects
• Strong stakeholder management experience at senior levels
• Track record of leading technical teams and projects

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills (Python and/or TypeScript)
• Advanced SQL and data modelling expertise
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience building and optimising data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g. Palantir Foundry or similar)

Desirable

• Experience in digital transformation or change management
• Exposure to DevSecOps and modern engineering practices
• Experience delivering training or mentoring teams
• Additional European languages
