£480/day (Inside IR35) | Hybrid (1x per month – London/Leeds/Sheffield) | SC Eligible | ASAP Start

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join an established team delivering critical digital services.

This is an opportunity to contribute from day one in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working on systems that must meet high standards for security, accessibility, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails
• Write clean, testable code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality digital services
• Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and team mentoring
• Ensure solutions align with public sector standards for security and accessibility

Key Requirements

• Strong experience as a Senior Ruby Developer (Ruby on Rails)
• Proven experience working with TDD
• Experience within UK government or public sector environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to integrate into established teams
• Ability to start and interview at short notice

Additional Information

• SC clearance (active or eligible) required
• Initial 3-month contract starting ASAP
• Travel to a UK hub once per month (London, Leeds, or Sheffield)
