Senior Back-End Developer

Location: Edinburgh (Remote-first, with occasional office visits)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per year + competitive benefits

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to help build and scale a cutting-edge resource planning platform. You'll focus on designing and implementing robust, secure, and efficient server-side solutions that power our product. Working closely with front-end developers and product teams, you'll ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of back-end features and services using .NET technologies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering managers to define priorities and deliverables.
• Optimize for scalability, performance, and maintainability across the codebase.
• Mentor and coach other developers in best practices and technical approaches.
• Participate in the full feature lifecycle—from concept to deployment and ongoing enhancements.
• Work in an agile environment on a large-scale software product.

About You

• Strong experience in back-end development with C# and .NET (Framework and Core).
• Comfortable working across the stack when needed, with some exposure to front-end technologies.
• Skilled in writing clean, testable code and using automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex challenges.
• Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Passionate about building reliable, high-quality software solutions.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with .NET Core, Vue.js, SQL Server, and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with message queuing systems such as Azure Service Bus.
