Technical Lead – Kubernetes & Linux

Reading (hybrid working).

Full-time employment.

£80,000-£85,000 + excellent company benefits.

Areti are very excited to be recruiting for a Technical Lead for a very successful software solutions provider. Being a Technical Lead, you’ll be an technically hands-on engineer by trade, with good Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud-native experience.

You’ll spend 50% of your time being technically hands-on, being the go-to expert for deployment and scaling customer environments. The remaining 50%; leading multiple projects to completion, managing another engineer within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading multiple deployments.
• Become a subject matter expert regarding Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with customers to deploy applications.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions
• Build and maintain labs and PoC environments.
• Support Sales Engineering with technical insights and architecture guidance.

Your Skills & Experience

• Good experience leading or working on complex tech implementations.
• Good experience deploying containerized workloads with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with Linux operating systems (any flavour).
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Good knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Good Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
