Junior Global Legal Counsel
Aries Global
At Aries Global, we’re driven by a singular ambition - to build one of the world’s truly exceptional software groups. A high-performing culture where we deliver transformative value across our portfolio, and a place where outstanding people can grow, thrive, and achieve their full potential. A company that operates with precision, creativity, and impact, creating enduring value while holding itself to the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.
Our mission is simple: we don’t just acquire companies - we build enduring, AI-native software platforms. We partner with exceptional founders and help them unlock their next chapter through our AI-native operating system, centralised GTM engine, and world-class execution capabilities.
We bring together unusually strong operators, builders, and leaders - people who set an exceptionally high bar for themselves and thrive in an environment defined by pace, ownership, and intellectual rigour. In return, you’ll experience steep learning, real responsibility from day one, and a career trajectory that compounds quickly.
Some of Your Responsibilities
Transactions & Deal Execution
- Work hands-on across the full lifecycle of M&A transactions, supporting diligence, structuring discussions, negotiations, signing mechanics, and post-closing execution.
- Drive elements of deal execution by coordinating timelines, conditions precedent, and closing workstreams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support complex cross-border closings, including regulatory approvals, signature processes, filings, notarisation, and apostilles, working closely with external counsel and senior internal stakeholders.
Corporate Governance & Entity Management
- Support group-wide corporate governance and entity management across jurisdictions, coordinating statutory filings and compliance matters with external advisors.
- Prepare, review, and maintain board- and shareholder-level materials for founders and senior leadership, including resolutions, written consents, approval trackers, and corporate records.
Contracts & Commercial Growth Ops
- Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs, SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, and technology-related commercial agreements used across the group.
- Help translate recurring software and commercial risks into scalable templates, playbooks, and fallback positions used across portfolio companies.
Technology, Data & Regulatory Matters
- Support regulatory, and compliance workstreams with a particular focus on technology-driven and data-related matters, including data protection, digital regulation, and cross-border compliance.
- Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders on KYC, AML, and regulatory documentation.
Legal Systems, Process & AI
- Identify opportunities to standardise, automate, and apply AI to recurring legal workflows (e.g. document generation, CP tracking, knowledge management).
- Contribute to the design and rollout of modern legal tools and processes that materially improve speed, quality, and scalability as the group grows.
What We’re Looking For
- Top-Tier Legal Talent. A high-calibre law graduate or early-career EU- or UK-qualified (or soon-to-be qualified) lawyer with outstanding academic credentials and a strong grounding in corporate, commercial, or technology law - and the curiosity and range to engage confidently beyond a single legal discipline.
- Judgement & Precision. You think clearly, write precisely, and are detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. You enjoy complex problems and expect a high standard of your own work.
- Execution Excellence. You are highly organised, dependable, and effective in fast-moving environments with multiple parallel workstreams and tight deadlines.
- Ownership Mentality. You take responsibility end-to-end, anticipate what’s needed next, and operate with increasing autonomy.
- High-Impact Communication. A clear, structured communicator - written and verbal - comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, founders, and external counsel.
- Technology Mindset. Curious about how legal work can be transformed through better processes, tooling, automation, and AI - and motivated to help build a modern, scalable legal function for a globally operating technology group.
- Ambition & Growth Orientation. You are excited by steep learning curves, high expectations, and exposure far beyond a traditional junior legal role.
Why Join Aries
- Unmatched talent density - be amongst and learn from the brightest.
- High-trust, high-autonomy environment with real ownership - exposure you won’t get anywhere else.
- A company with global reach, meaningful work, and potential for long-term growth.
Our Process
Joining Aries Global means stepping into a culture that values excellence, curiosity, and potential above all else. Our selection process reflects that.
Candidates who pass our initial screening will progress to interviews that explore judgment, intellectual rigor, and how you approach complex legal and business problems. You may also be asked to complete a short exercise designed to assess how you structure legal analysis and operate under real-world constraints.
We set the bar high and only make offers when we believe it’s an exceptional fit - for both you and Aries Global.
And if you’re hesitating because you don’t tick every box - don’t. Talent, drive, and the capacity to grow matter most here. If you’re inspired by our mission and believe you can make an impact, we want to meet you.
Aries Global is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and ensure every candidate has equitable access to succeed. If you need accommodations during the process, let us know - we’ll make it happen.
