Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing automation, improving platform reliability, and supporting internal teams and customers by delivering robust infrastructure and platform services.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms
  • Lead the implementation and management of container platforms such as Kubernetes
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment and delivery
  • Ensure platform security, resilience, performance, and high availability
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions across platform infrastructure
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineers and junior team members
  • Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform performance and deployment processes
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices
  • Support customer environments and assist with platform onboarding and migrations where required

Required experience

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or private cloud environments)
  • Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Strong Linux systems administration experience
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in DevOps or SRE environments
  • Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical projects
