Operating at scale across the UK, the organisation has built a market-leading platform that simplifies the way consumers buy and sell vehicles, creating a seamless and data-led customer experience.

As the business continues to scale, they are looking for an experienced IT Director to lead enterprise technology operations, drive strategic transformation initiatives, and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale projects across the organisation.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s IT strategy, ensuring technology enables business growth, operational efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience.

You will work closely with executive stakeholders to modernise infrastructure, improve systems and processes, and lead high-performing technical and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the overall IT strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Lead and mentor IT, infrastructure, support, and project delivery teams
  • Oversee enterprise-wide technology transformation programmes
  • Manage complex IT projects from inception through to delivery
  • Drive improvements across systems, security, scalability, and operational resilience
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across technology and business functions
  • Own vendor management, budgeting, and technology procurement
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management practices
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the technology landscape

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience operating at IT Director or senior technology leadership level
  • Strong background delivering enterprise-scale IT and transformation projects
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical and project management teams
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT operations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to align technology with business goals
  • Experience within fast-paced, customer-focused environments preferred
