Junior Cybersecurity Architect
Areas of responsibility include:
- Design, deployment, and management of a security information and event management (SIEM) system
- Web application, server & infrastructure penetration testing & issue resolution (OWASP)
- Data aggregation & correlation of network, security, server, database & application logs
- Design, deploy and maintain a monitoring dashboard & automated alerting system
- Compliance, breach and forensic analysis monitoring & reporting
- Employee device management, endpoint security, and IT support for security-related issues
- Device security policies, mobile device management (MDM), and enforcement
- Research and identify new technologies to improve system/data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- User access policies and enforcement
Security Architect requirements:
- A bachelor's or associate's degree in IT, computer science, or related field
- Strong server and infrastructure knowledge, particularly with Linux environments
- Proficiency with command-line interfaces (CLI) and scripting
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with computer troubleshooting and technical support is beneficial
- Advanced IT security certifications (such as CEH, or Security+) are advantageous
- A strong working knowledge of current IT risks, security implementations, and computer operating and software programs
