Release Manager (London Area)

Release Manager – Web/Mobile - Microservices – CI/CD – 6 months - Hybrid - £500/£525 (Inside IR35) – Immediate Starters - Paying up to £520 Inside IR35

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Release Manager to join a fast-paced and innovative engineering environment. We're seeking someone who thrives on collaboration, is passionate about process improvement, and is eager to play a pivotal role in coordinating timely and efficient software releases.

In this role, you will oversee a regular release cadence, ensuring major and incremental deployments are delivered smoothly. You’ll work closely with development, testing, and stakeholder teams to align on feature readiness, assess risks, and maintain high release standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the release process, delivering major software versions every three weeks.
• Support and coordinate any necessary patch or incremental deployments.
• Facilitate meetings with technical teams and stakeholders to gather updates and ensure alignment.
• Track and report on release status, ensuring visibility across the organization.
• Clearly communicate release requirements and enforce adherence to agreed processes and timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in release management practices.
• Create and manage change records, defining release scope, versioning, and classification.
• Conduct risk and impact assessments as part of release planning.
• Oversee testing and deployment phases, ensuring readiness and completeness.
• Maintain and communicate the release calendar and schedules effectively.

Tech Stack & Tooling:

• Essential tooling experience: ServiceNow (Change Management)
• Preferred tech exposure:
• Java, Spring
• Kubernetes, Docker
• PostgreSQL, Kafka
• Understanding of global technology standards for streaming platforms is a plus.
