The Role
The business is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager to help drive the growth of its global IoT connectivity offering.
This position combines:
- Technical expertise in cellular connectivity and SIM technologies
- Commercial negotiations and vendor management
- Strategic partnerships and ecosystem development
- Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and sales teams
The role requires strong knowledge of technologies such as:
- SIM / eSIM / iSIM
- Cellular connectivity (2G/3G/4G/5G/LPWAN)
- Roaming and telecom standards
- IoT modules and connectivity platforms
Candidates should ideally come from a telecom, IoT, connectivity platform, MNO/MVNO, or related environment.
Key Responsibilities
IoT Connectivity & Business Development
- Drive new initiatives related to IoT connectivity and SIM technologies
- Research telecom standards, market trends, and emerging technologies
- Support development of new products and connectivity solutions
- Build technical and commercial business cases
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Manage relationships with SIM/eSIM and connectivity vendors
- Lead pricing discussions and commercial negotiations
- Review supplier roadmaps and evaluate new capabilities
- Support procurement and cost optimisation initiatives
Device & Module Partner Collaboration
- Work with hardware/module vendors on interoperability and certification
- Assess compatibility across connectivity environments
- Support joint solution development and technical partnerships
Partner & OEM Support
- Provide technical and commercial guidance to partners
- Assist with solution design, presentations, and proof-of-concepts
- Support long-term partner growth and go-to-market planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, product, sales, and support teams
- Translate market feedback into platform and product improvements
- Create internal documentation and enablement resources
Requirements
Essential Experience
- 10+ years in telecom, IoT connectivity, vendor management, procurement, or technical business development
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements with global suppliers
- Strong understanding of:
- SIM/eSIM/eUICC technologies
- Cellular connectivity standards
- Telecom ecosystems and roaming concepts
- Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills
- Experience working across technical and commercial teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- Experience within the IoT sector
- Exposure to module/device vendors
- Background in fast-growth technology businesses
- Experience working with distributed global teams
- Familiarity with RFQ/RFI/RFP processes

Fully remote role with preference for candidates based in the UK or Europe.
