BI Developer

London or Manchester (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

A leading Specialty Insurance provider is investing heavily in its Data & Analytics capability and is looking for a BI Developer to play a key role in that journey.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, helping to shape how data is used across the organisation—delivering insight that directly impacts performance across multiple business areas.

The Role

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
• Deliver solutions end-to-end—from requirements gathering through to deployment
• Develop scalable, automated data solutions using SQL and modern platforms
• Partner with stakeholders across Pricing, Product, Finance, Claims, and Compliance
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight
• Identify opportunities to improve the data landscape and processes

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with Power BI (DAX + data modelling)
• Advanced SQL skills (joins, optimisation, modelling)
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred)
• Exposure to Databricks (SQL / PySpark)
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Nice to Have

• Insurance or financial services experience
• Python or similar
• Exposure to Azure Synapse / Data Lakes / Dataiku
