About the Role

My client, a global insurer are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a growing team delivering complex business and technology change initiatives. This role will be responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, well understood, and successfully translated into working solutions.

The role will involve working across multiple concurrent projects within a large-scale transformation environment, supporting end-to-end delivery from initial discovery through to implementation and post-go-live activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements for complex change initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured artefacts including user stories, process maps, data flows, use cases, and supporting documentation.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
  • Manage requirements through the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment to business objectives.
  • Work closely with technical teams, testers, and delivery leads to ensure solutions are correctly interpreted and delivered.
  • Support the design of solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance business processes.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, facilitating review sessions and securing agreement and sign-off on requirements.
  • Provide analytical support throughout the project lifecycle, including issue resolution and clarification of requirements.
  • Support testing activities including test planning, script review, execution support, and coordination of business user acceptance testing.
  • Build strong working relationships across business and support functions.
  • Provide informal guidance and support to other analysts where required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a complex, change-driven environment.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Proven experience producing user stories, process flows, and structured analysis artefacts.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments (e.g. Scrum).
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across business and technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience supporting testing phases and business readiness activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced programme environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working on large-scale transformation or system implementation programmes.
  • Experience in regulated or operationally complex industries.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other Business Analysts.
  • Exposure to data, reporting, or integration-focused projects.
