Senior Data Analyst

Senior Data Analyst required by a market leading, UK organisation Data & Insight team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a hybrid role with 2–3 days onsite with flexibility.

The role supports a major data integration programme following organisational change, ensuring accurate, consistent and trusted insight across multiple systems during a period of transition.

Working closely with the Data Science Lead and wider technical and business teams, the role focuses on aligning data sources, improving reporting standards and delivering high-quality analysis to support decision-making. The successful candidate will combine strong technical capability with confident stakeholder engagement, including at senior level.

Key responsibilities

  • Reconcile, align and analyse data across multiple systems and sources
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g. Tableau or similar)
  • Query and analyse large datasets using cloud-based platforms
  • Deliver KPI reporting, insight and ad-hoc analysis
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Support data quality, validation and consistency across datasets
  • Work with technical teams to improve data structures and reporting solutions
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings

Essential skills

  • Strong experience in data analysis and insight delivery
  • Advanced SQL and good Python skills (or similar)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or equivalent
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake or similar)
  • Strong data manipulation, reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical and senior audiences
  • Experience working with multiple datasets and complex data environments
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on data quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Desirable

  • Experience in data integration or transformation projects
  • Exposure to organisational change or post-acquisition environments
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a numerate or analytical subject
