On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Business Change Manager for a 6 -month contract based in London, hybrid (2/3 days in the office per week).
Purpose of the role:
Arup is seeking an experienced Change Manager to lead business change, engagement and adoption activities for the General Availability rollout of Viktor, a cloud-based engineering platform within the Digitalised Design Programme. This role will drive user readiness, capability building and sustained adoption across a globally distributed organisation, ensuring stakeholders are prepared, supported and engaged throughout the transformation. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing complex digitalised design or technology transformation programmes and delivering measurable adoption outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Lead and deliver the change and adoption strategy for the Viktor platform rollout.
- Develop and maintain change plans covering stakeholder engagement, readiness, training, onboarding and reinforcement activities.
- Conduct change impact assessments and readiness reviews across business functions, regions and user communities.
- Align change activities, dependencies, risks and milestones with the overall programme delivery plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, programme leadership, regional teams and business sponsors.
- Establish and coordinate champion and super-user networks to drive engagement, advocacy and knowledge sharing.
- Facilitate workshops, demonstrations and engagement sessions to support user adoption.
- Gather user feedback, identify adoption barriers and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with communications teams to deliver targeted adoption and engagement campaigns.
- Coordinate training programmes, onboarding initiatives, masterclasses and support sessions.
- Support the transition of change activities into long-term business ownership and operational support structures.
- Define, monitor and report on adoption metrics, readiness measures, risks, benefits and business outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to programme governance forums and senior leadership teams.
The skills you'll need:
- Qualified Change Manager with substantial experience delivering change and adoption initiatives within large-scale digital transformation, enterprise technology or platform rollout programmes.
- Proven experience managing complex digitalised design, engineering technology or business transformation projects.
- Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, sponsorship management, change impact assessment and organisational readiness.
- Experience designing and delivering training, onboarding programmes and champion networks to support behavioural change.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels within global and multidisciplinary organisations.
- Experience defining adoption KPIs, analysing user feedback and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong planning, organisation and delivery management capabilities.
- Data-driven approach with the ability to use insights to improve adoption and engagement.
- Experience working within engineering consultancy, infrastructure, built environment or AEC sectors is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, low-code technologies, digital engineering or workflow automation solutions.
- Change Management certification such as Prosci, APMG, ChangeFirst or equivalent is desirable.
- Self-motivated, collaborative and able to operate effectively within complex and evolving programme environments.
