Purpose of the role

The Finance Systems Analyst will support a critical period of transformation across their finance systems landscape. This role will sit within the finance systems team, helping to coordinate system activity, strengthen governance, and support the transition towards future-state solutions, including upcoming Fusion implementation. The successful candidate will act as a key link between system users, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective prioritisation, oversight, and continuous improvement of finance systems processes.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate finance system support activities, ensuring all requests and tickets are effectively managed through a centralised process.
  • Act as a filter between stakeholders and senior team members, triaging issues and escalating where appropriate.
  • Support governance frameworks across finance systems, ensuring controls and processes are followed.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain system performance and resolve issues.
  • Assist in prioritising system requests using tools and AI-driven processes.
  • Build understanding of system interdependencies and support knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support ongoing transformation activity, including preparation for future system changes.

The Skills you'll need

  • Strong understanding of control risk, business risk, or systems governance.
  • Solid knowledge of finance systems, including inputs, outputs, and data flows.
  • Previous experience working in a finance or finance systems environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and bring structure to complexity.
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to question and challenge where needed.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working closely with stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to simplify complex system issues.
