The role will initially focus on developing strong knowledge of an assigned core product area, while providing opportunities to gain exposure to a wider portfolio of products and services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in Product Ownership within the technology sector.

As your capability develops, you will be given increasing autonomy and responsibility, supporting your progression towards a Product Owner role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product delivery and ownership across assigned products and product areas.
- Own and maintain the product backlog for assigned areas, ensuring features and user stories are clear, prioritised and aligned with business value.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business, customer and operational needs and translate these into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritise backlog items in line with agreed product priorities and support the Senior Product Manager in translating strategic goals into actionable development plans.
- Act as the Product representative throughout the development lifecycle, working closely with Development and QA to answer questions, clarify requirements and support successful delivery.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Gather and interpret customer, operational and technical feedback to help shape product improvements and prioritisation.
- Review delivered changes against agreed requirements and support changes through testing, release and post-release review.
- Build strong working relationships across Product, Development, QA, Operations and wider business teams.
- Maintain accurate product documentation, reporting and roadmap updates.
- Contribute to governance, product metrics and performance insights.
This is a genuine development role with a clear pathway towards becoming a Product Owner.
You will receive hands-on mentoring, coaching and guidance from experienced Product leadership, with an initial focus on building strong product and industry knowledge alongside practical Agile and Product Ownership skills.
As your capability develops, you will be given increasing autonomy across:
- Backlog management
- Stakeholder engagement
- Requirements definition
- User story development
- Prioritisation
- Product delivery
- Product ownership
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will be demonstrated through increasing ownership of your assigned product areas, effective collaboration across the delivery lifecycle and the successful delivery of product changes.
You will:
- Maintain a clear, prioritised and delivery-ready product backlog.
- Produce high-quality user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria that are understood by Development and QA.
- Successfully support changes through the full delivery lifecycle, from requirement through to release.
- Build strong knowledge of your assigned products, customers, users and underlying business processes.

- Demonstrate increasing confidence, independence and accountability in Product Ownership activities.
- Show clear progression towards independently performing the responsibilities of a Product Owner.
