IT Manager/2nd Line Support Engineer
We are currently seeking a technically driven IT Manager for our client, an international organisation within the creative industry. You will be responsible for the company’s systems and infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across all environments. The IT Manager will bring strong technical problem-solving skills with solid experience of using Azure, along with the required skills to lead and mentor an IT Support Executive. This is a hybrid role with 4 days based at the client’s site in Central London and one day working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of IT you will manage the day-to-day performance of IT systems, software, and network infrastructure. Providing 2 nd line support, resolving escalated hardware, software, and network issues with a methodical and analytical approach. Oversee and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including user access, identity management, and system configuration. Implement and manage backups, patching, endpoint security, and compliance controls. Work with the Head of IT to define, document, and enforce IT standards, procedures, and technical documentation. Support IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects from design through to deployment. Liaise with third-party providers to ensure optimal performance of outsourced services and technologies.
Skills & Experience required
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in 2nd line support or systems administration roles.
- Confident with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
- Windows Server environments and endpoint management tools.
- Previous experience of cloud project delivery (e.g. migrations, upgrades).
- Networking fundamentals – including VLANs, firewalls, DNS, and routing.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and application layers.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and documentation skills with attention to technical detail.
