Network Engineer – Central London, Hybrid - £60,000

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong Fortinet expertise to join our growing network infrastructure team.  You will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting and maintaining secure and resilient network environments, with a particular focus on Fortinet technologies.

Key responsibilities of this Network Engineer role will include:

Configure, manage and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security solutions.

Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, routing and security rules.

Support LAN/WAN, switching, routing and network security infrastructure.

Monitor network performance, availability and security.

Investigate and resolve complex network incidents and outages.

Perform network changes, upgrades and security improvements.

Assist with network design, documentation and infrastructure projects.

Ensure network environments meet security and operational standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong commercial experience as a Network Engineer.

Hands-on experience with Fortinet / FortiGate environments.

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching.

Experience with firewalls, VPNs, NAT and network security.

Experience troubleshooting complex network issues.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable

Fortinet NSE / FCP / FCSS certification.

Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.

Experience with Cisco, Aruba or other enterprise networking technologies.

Knowledge of cloud networking, particularly Azure or AWS.

The salary on offer for this role is up to £60,000 plus benefits.
