Senior Cisco Network Engineer
- Location: City of London
- Company: Large global financial services organisation
- Salary: Up to £70,000 plus bonus and comprehensive benefits
- Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week in the London office)
A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Cisco Network Engineer to join its growing technology team. This is a key role with responsibility for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of a global enterprise network, working in a complex, high-availability environment.
You will play a pivotal role in modernising network infrastructure, driving technical improvements, and providing senior-level support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support large-scale enterprise networks
- Take ownership of network enhancements and infrastructure modernisation initiatives
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members
- Deliver Level 3 network support and participate in an on-call rota
- Implement and support routing, switching, firewall, and SD-WAN solutions
- Integrate switches, routers, wireless controllers, SDN, load balancers, NAC servers, and cloud platforms
- Ensure network security, resilience, and high availability across global environments
Skills & Experience xkybehq Required
- Proven experience designing and implementing networks in a large user or enterprise environment
- Strong Cisco background (ideally CCNP or CCIE)
- In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, VTP, STP)
- Experience with high-availability technologies (vPC, SVL, HSRP)
- Strong understanding of routing protocols
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies
- Experience with Cisco Wireless solutions
