QA Engineer / Junior Test Analyst - 6 month FTC
This is a newly created opportunity for a junior QA Engineer / Junior Tester to take a 6 month FTC at a growing SME consultancy firm. This FTC pays circa £30,000 pro rata and offers predominantly Work-From-Home options (but you must be able & willing to come to the Bishop’s Stortford office if required).
My client is looking for an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer / Test Analyst to join their growing Product Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of innovative client-facing applications, working alongside Developers, Product Managers and senior stakeholders in a collaborative, agile environment.
As our Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll take ownership of testing activities across the software development lifecycle, helping to establish robust QA standards while combining manual and automated testing techniques. You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, enhancing test automation, and ensuring every release meets the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases and regression testing activities
- Performing functional, integration, API and exploratory testing across web-based applications
- Building and maintaining automated test frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
- Integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Identifying, tracking and managing defects through to resolution
- Establishing QA processes, standards and best practices across the development team
- Collaborating closely with developers and product managers throughout agile delivery cycles
The ideal candidate will have some experience in software testing or quality engineering, strong manual and automation testing skills, and experience with modern testing tools and CI/CD environments. In return, you'll join a forward-thinking organisation where your expertise will have a direct impact on product quality, customer satisfaction and business success. If you're a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys championing quality and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a 6 month FTC with possible extensions. It pays circa £30,000 pro rata and offers hybrid working options.
