The Opportunity:
The Infrastructure team provides Server & Compute, Network and Collaboration services to Ashurst Perkins Coie.
The Server & Compute team manage our on prem server estate, storage and backups across our offices and data centres. The Network team manage LAN and WAN technologies, in addition to firewall and internet access solutions. The Collaboration team manages our global Unified Comms and Exchange platforms.
This role is key in managing and leading the Infrastructure Team to ensure the successful delivery of our services and support within the organisation. Working closely with other Infrastructure Team Leaders, this role will focus on people management, ensure processes are adhered to, and our BAU and Jira backlog is prioritised and allocated.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills are essential to deliver and improve our services.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Team Management:
- Supervision and Support: Overseeing the daily activities and performance of team members.
- Resource Allocation: Working with the Infrastructure Manager, ensuring that work and initiatives are assigned based on team members' skills and workload capacity.
Quality of Service:
- Service Delivery: Ensuring that the team delivers high-quality services and meets stakeholder expectations consistently.
- Change Management: Ensuring changes to systems are implemented smoothly and do not negatively impact services or users.
Agile Methodologies:
- Scrum Master Role: Facilitating Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Prioritisation: Helping the team prioritise tasks and manage workloads effectively within Agile framework
Communication:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as a point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project status and outcomes.
- Team Communication: Facilitating open communication within and across the wider IT teams to foster collaboration and resolve issues efficiently.
This is a full-time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working

About you:
- We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the following skills and experience:
- Strong team leader and people management skills, preferably gained in a global organisation
- Managing escalations to a satisfactory outcome
- Experience delivering BAU initiatives and small internal projects using agile methodologies
- Experience managing continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships and collaborating with stakeholders.
