Location: Bolton (with travel to retail stores across the North West)
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:45 with 45-minute lunch)
On-call 1 week in every 2, including Saturday morning store visits and weekend phone support

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide IT support across 48 retail outlets and the head office
• Support and maintain the company’s EPOS system (software and hardware)
• Train retail staff on EPOS use and system processes
• Manage EPOS system rollouts when required
• Respond to internal IT support requests, incidents, and queries
• Support business systems including desktops, laptops, and servers
• Work with Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Server (2012/2019)
• Maintain and support network infrastructure (switches, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Support virtual environments (VMWare), backups (Veeam), and MDM (MobileIron)
• Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve system issues and implement solutions
• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software
• Some out-of-hours and weekend support required

About You:

• Proven experience in IT technical support or a similar role
• Strong understanding of networking and firewall configurations
• Confident troubleshooting both hardware and software issues
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, and ideally Microsoft Azure
• Familiar with ERP systems (preferred but not essential)
• Good communication skills, able to explain technical terms to non-technical users
• Proactive and analytical with a flexible and adaptable approach
• Must have a full clean UK driving licence and access to your own car
• Pool car available during the week for store visits
