Digital Technical IQA - Internal Quality Assurer

As a Digital/IT Internal Quality Assurance Specialist, you will ensure the integrity and quality of accredited digital and IT qualifications delivered by Aspire 2Be. You will work closely with delivery teams to monitor assessment practices, verify learner evidence, and uphold awarding body standards. Your expertise will support continuous improvement and compliance across our digital learning provision.
This role demands a strong understanding of qualification frameworks, assessment methodologies, and internal quality assurance processes. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards and ensuring learners achieve recognised qualifications through robust and credible assessment.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

- Deliver internal quality assurance for accredited digital and IT qualifications.
- Sample and verify assessment decisions to ensure consistency and compliance with awarding body standards.
- Support assessors and trainers in interpreting and applying assessment criteria.
- Maintain accurate IQA records and contribute to standardisation activities.
- Develop and review digital learning and assessment content to ensure alignment with qualification requirements.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure assessment practices are inclusive, fair, and valid.
- Provide feedback and guidance to improve assessment quality and learner outcomes.
- Liaise with external quality assurers and awarding bodies to support successful verification visits.
- Stay current with changes in qualification standards, assessment practices, and digital technologies.
- Promote best practices in digital learning and assessment across the organisation.
- Support the development of Aspire 2Be’s internal quality assurance strategy and processes.

Essential Criteria
- TAQA Level 4 (or equivalent IQA qualification)
- Occupational competence in digital/IT at Level 4 or above
- Experience in assessing and quality assuring accredited qualifications
- Strong understanding of qualification frameworks and assessment standards
- Exceptional digital competence across platforms (Microsoft, Google, Apple)
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- A Full UK Driving Licence with Business Cover Insurance (A copy of your insurance will be requested upon offer)
Desirable Criteria
- EWC registered
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Certified Trainer Status (Google/Microsoft/Apple)
- Knowledge of Work-Based Learning operating models
- Welsh speaker
