IT Support Technician - Cheadle (Secondary School) STOCKPORTLocation: Cheadle, Stockport, CheshireRole: IT Support / Network Manager (school-based)Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours/week, all year)Salary: NJC SO2 Scale 26-31 (£37,280 - £41,771) Teaching VacanciesStart Date: ImmediateRole Overview:We are working with a mainstream secondary school in Cheadle that requires a dedicated IT Support Technician / Network Manager. You'll maintain and improve the school's IT infrastructure, support staff & students, and ensure reliable, secure systems.Key Responsibilities:- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students.- Maintain and administer network, servers, software, hardware, and digital resources.- Plan, install, and upgrade IT systems and infrastructure.- Monitor performance, security, backups, and disaster recovery.- Liaise with external suppliers, manage contracts, and maintain documentation.Person Specification:- Proven experience in IT support and network management (ideally in an educational environment).- Strong technical skills across hardware, software, networking, and security.- Excellent problem-solving skills, with initiative and capacity to prioritise.- Good communication skills, patience, and ability to train non-technical users.This is an excellent role for someone looking to make a difference in a school environment.To apply, please send your CV to Kat@ aspirepeople. co .uk.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
