Your New Company
The Axial Test Lead – Special Project is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end business testing of projects within the Axial programme, ensuring these systems are fully validated and seamlessly integrated with core SAP to support business operations at go-live.
The role operates at the intersection of business and technology, bridging gaps between technical teams, business stakeholders, and deployment functions to ensure cross-system processes and data flows are accurately tested from a business perspective.
The role is accountable for defining and embedding a clear testing strategy and operating model, ensuring alignment across stakeholders on scope, ownership, and execution approach. It provides governance and oversight to ensure consistent application of UAT standards, defect management, tooling, and reporting, while managing complex dependencies and integration points between SAP and Non-SAP systems.
In addition, the role is responsible for building and coordinating a broader testing ecosystem across project and BAU teams, ensuring the right capabilities, ownership, and support structures are in place.
This ensures effective execution of special project testing along with Core SAP deployment dates, reduces delivery risk, and enables confident business readiness and sign-off for go-live.
Your New Role
1. Testing Strategy & Scope Definition
- Define and own the business testing strategy for special projects, ensuring alignment with the overall Axial UAT approach
Collaborate with:
- Business Testing team – Core SAP
- Technical non-SAP testing teams
- System owners and EPx teams
- Data and integration teams
Ensure clear definition of test requirements, including:
- SAP ↔ non-SAP integration scenarios
- Business validation needs across systems
2. Test Coordination & Cross-Team Integration
- Act as the central coordination point for Special Project testing within the business testing workstream
Bridge the gap between:
- Business stakeholders
- Technical testing teams
Ensure effective coordination of:
- Cross-system testing activities
- Dependencies between SAP and Non-SAP systems
- Drive alignment on testing priorities, scope, and execution readiness
3. Scenario & Test Script Enablement
Support the development of:
- UAT test scenarios and scripts for Special Project and Non-SAP systems
- Integrated SAP–Non-SAP end-to-end test coverage
Work with technical teams to:
- Validate integration flows
- Ensure completeness of business test coverage
- Identify and confirm system business owners through BTG engagement
4. Governance, Standards & Compliance
Ensure consistent application of:
- Axial UAT test strategy
- Defect management processes
- Testing tools and reporting standards
- Enforce governance and best practices across all SAP UAT activities
- Maintain alignment with programme-level governance and reporting expectations
5. Defect Management & Quality Assurance
Oversee defect management for SAP & Non-SAP testing, ensuring:
- Clear ownership and triage
- Timely resolution of integration and functional defects
- Ensure defects are properly tracked, reported, and escalated
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Ownership Alignment
Engage with:
- Enterprise Process Owners
- Business Technology Groups (BTGs)
- System owners
- Business Owners
- Business Testers
- Technical and deployment teams
- Ensure stakeholders are informed, accountable, and engaged in testing activities
7. Ecosystem & Resource Enablement
Establish a supporting ecosystem across project and BAU teams to enable:
- Test readiness
- Execution support
- Environment readiness
Ensure the right resources and capabilities are in place, including:
- Subject matter experts
- Integration support teams
- Coordinate onboarding and readiness of teams supporting non-SAP testing

Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Minimum 10 years Test management experience at test lead level is a must
- Managed SIT & UAT for large scale SAP programme with multiple non-SAP systems is a must
- Managed multi time zone & business functions as part of testing
- Managing complex SAP & NON-SAP systems testing
