What will your typical day look like? Different that’s for sure...The Associate Solution Architect supports the Solution Architect and technical teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that address customer use cases and accelerate the adoption of Atom services.
You will contribute to ensuring sustainable flow of value, enhanced business agility, best in class total cost of ownership, and continuous technical excellence across Atom’s estate.
This role will be supported in learning how to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous innovation and learning, and proactively driving an evolutionary architecture approach that aligns people, value, and technology.
You will:
- Support the design of end-to-end solution architectures for new products and features, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Contribute to aspirational architectural roadmaps and current/future state architectures that clearly link product strategy to Tech strategy.
- Actively cultivate relationships with architects and delivery teams.
- Participate in a culture of continuous conversational governance by engaging in ongoing conversations with teams, providing guidance on designs, and capturing architectural decisions.
- Contribute to the development of the Architecture capability and build a knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Engage in the bank’s change frameworks and facilitate technical governance.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks to improve system resilience and reduce long-term technology debt.
- Design, implementation, support and consulting experience.
- Possess an analytical approach to problem solving and with strong attention to detail
- Self-managing, proactive and strong communicator
- A passion for developing and learning
- Familiar with the software engineering life cycle
- An understanding of modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven architecture and serverless computing would be desirable.
- Understanding of Solution Architecture function
- Experience with product-oriented ways of working, Agile, and Lean methodologies, focusing on value streams, long-lived teams, and continuous delivery
