About the practice: The D&A Business represents a growing capability within Atos and currently comprises a talented team of analysts, developers, consultants and architects covering all aspects of the information management lifecycle; from data management through to business intelligence and analytics. The practice is technology agnostic and has capability across a range of technologies, including products from SAP, Oracle, IBM and Microsoft as well as more specialist technology providers such as Snowflake, Databricks, Cloudera and Infoshare.

Atos work with a range of large organisations facing an ever-increasing demand to realise greater value from their data and are seeking advice and solutions to meet that need.

We are therefore seeking talented a data modeller/data architect to join our fast-growing team, working with various clients but with the ability to gain clearance to work in the public sector.

The role will be to work in delivery teams, analysing data and comparing to requirements.

Responsibilities:

An in-depth understanding of modern data architectures including data lakehouses, data mesh, different hyperscaler offeringsFacilitating client workshops/interviews to gather client requirements and turn these into data modelsDefinition of Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models to support client data initiatives, in Inmon, Kimball and data lakehouse modelsDefinition of Data Flows to support BI, Data Warehouse and Data Migration application requirements including mapping the data from source to targetPart of a architecture capability responsible for delivering bid and project solution architecture definitionsInvolvement in pre-sales and bid efforts to define and explain BI and data management solution architecturesActing as design authority for small to large BI or Data Management application projects and owning delivery of the data architecture/models that support these projectsClient facing role working through requirements and delivering data architectures in required formats and using agreed data design/modelling toolsEssential Skills: Client (Customer) Focus – Committed to building excellent long term relationships with Clients based on a full understanding of their needs and dedication to meeting their expectations.

Creativity – Identifying effective solutions for clients through selecting the best combination of existing practices and innovative approaches or ideasTeam Working – Working together by involving others in goals and plans, sharing knowledge, taking a positive role in teambuilding and seeking opportunities for cross functional working and collaborationDemonstrable experience of defining and building BI/Data Warehouse logical and physical models including normalised and dimensional models as required as well as data lake architecturesExpertise in a minimum of one data modelling tool preferably Erwin and/or IBM Rational System ArchitectExpertise in running client workshops to extract and understand client data requirements and turn these into valuable data modelsBe able to demonstrate a thorough appreciation of the architecture, design and data related issues that affect the development of the different types of Data Warehouse and BI applicationsDemonstrate experience across a range of relational and database technology, including Oracle and SQL ServerMust be able to demonstrate good analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solvingPragmatic and detail orientatedExcellent organisational and co-ordination skillsDemonstrable team leadership attributesEssential Criteria – SC EligibilityTo be eligible for SC clearance, you must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
