Service Transition Manager

Cheshire (2 days per week onsite)

£480 per day (Inside IR35)

Initial 12-month contract

Atrium EMEA are supporting a world-leading IT services client in their search for an experienced Service Transition Manager to join a major programme within a leading financial services organisation.

We're looking for someone with recent financial services experience who can successfully transition new products, applications, and services into live operational environments, ensuring they are fully supported and operationally ready from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Service Transition activities across multiple projects and programmes

• Ensure operational readiness prior to production deployment

• Define, manage, and govern Service Acceptance Criteria (SAC)

• Coordinate BAU handovers, support model development, and Early Life Support (ELS)

• Work closely with project teams, service owners, infrastructure teams, and support functions

• Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with service introductions

• Drive best practice across service transition and operational readiness processes

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Service Transition Manager, Service Introduction Manager, or Operational Readiness Manager

• Strong understanding of Service Acceptance Criteria, Operational Readiness, Early Life Support, and BAU handovers

• Experience delivering service transition activities within large enterprise environments

• Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles

• Experience working within complex change and transformation programmes

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments

• Understanding of application, infrastructure, and cloud-based services

Essential:

• Recent financial services experience

• Ability to commute to Cheshire two days per week

• Experience operating within large-scale enterprise environments
