Infrastructure & Enterprise Systems Engineer – London

Expedia Group is looking for an accomplished Infrastructure & Enterprise Systems Engineer to maintain the health and security of our core infrastructure while driving the next generation of IT efficiency through automation. You will manage Windows environments (Endpoints & Servers) and will get to engineer & support modern workspaces (Azure Virtual Desktop & Island Secure browser). You will explore opportunities to automate & enhance efficiency of systems. The Infrastructure & Enterprise Systems Engineer will be taking care of incident queues and will need to collaborate with business leaders and end users. A key focus of this role is leveraging PowerShell and Agentic AI to build autonomous workflows that triage incidents, automate routine administrative tasks, and enhance system reliability & efficiency. Onsite work 2/3 days a week and some remote.

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in IT Operations & engineering, Systems Administration, or a related role with a focus on automation.
  • Operating Systems: Proficient in Windows Server and Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Understanding of Active Directory & Distributed File Systems.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP fundamentals.
  • Cloud & Virtualization: Basic hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure Virtual Desktop).
  • Scripting & AI (Advantage): Proven experience in PowerShell for enterprise-scale automation. Basic understanding of Agentic AI to build goal-oriented AI agents.
  • Have the ownership mindset to collaborate with respective stakeholders and ensure end to end deliverables.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to analyse & architect complex, multi-step workflows as per business use cases. Explore potential opportunities to reduce tech debt, save costs and modernise existing solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for root-cause analysis in dynamic environments.
  • Business value addition & continuous Learning: A proactive mindset towards staying updated on emerging AI-native toolchains and automation trends.
  • Interact with business leaders to seek feedback, identify use cases for leveraging AI to enhance user experience, efficiency & productivity.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AZ-140).
  • Certifications related to Applied Agentic AI or advanced automation.
