Research Analyst
Contract Assignment: Research Analyst - Government & Social Impact (UK Onsite)

Hourly Rate: Competitive - DOE - 40 hrs/week

Location: Onsite - London, UK
Must be able to contract via PAYE.
This role does not provide sponsorship - candidates must have existing right to work in the UK and be UK-based.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain large-scale datasets of political and government organisations across international regions.
- Conduct rigorous data quality assurance (QA) reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies.
- Collaborate with partner managers, engineers, and data auditors to support civic data operations.
- Prepare and upload partner data using internal CRM and data systems.
- Use tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel to analyse, clean, and review data at scale.
- Support data activities during elections, escalations, and ad hoc requests.
- Participate in testing and feedback for tools developed by engineering teams.
- Identify data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to process and policy improvements.
- Drive continuous improvements in data governance and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data operations, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data manipulation and querying.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and experience managing large datasets.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to review, audit, and optimise operational workflows.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in the government, elections, or third sector involving civic or political data.
- Background in internal auditing, compliance, or data quality assurance.
- Previous collaboration with engineering or technical teams to scale data tools or workflows.
- Familiarity with international political systems, public policy, or social impact programmes.
Required Qualification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Government, Political Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
