Avaloq Developer
Job Title: Avaloq Developer - £600 per day (umbrella rate)
Location: Glasgow (2 days per week on-site, 3 days remote)
Contract Length: 12 months
Overview
Atrium (EMEA) are supporting a large managed service provider looking for an experienced Avaloq Developer to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12 month contract. You will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of Avaloq-based solutions, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high quality banking and wealth management functionality.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain Avaloq Core Platform customisations and parameterisations
* Implement and enhance banking products, processes, and workflows within Avaloq
* Analyse business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
* Develop and maintain Avaloq scripts, data feeds, interfaces, and reports
* Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and testers to ensure end to end delivery
* Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical documentation
* Support SIT/UAT, including defect analysis and resolution
* Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards
* Provide 3rd line support and production issue analysis where required
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven commercial experience as an Avaloq Developer (3+ years preferred)
* Strong knowledge of Avaloq Core Platform, including:
o Avaloq Scripting and parameterisation
o Order management, payments, securities, and/or core banking modules
o Interfaces (eg Avaloq ICE, web services, APIs)
* Solid understanding of banking/wealth management processes and products
* Experience working in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment
* Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle or other relational databases
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Desirable
* Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) or similar certification
* Experience with integration to downstream systems (eg reporting, risk, CRM)
* Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (eg Git)
* Experience in UK or European banking/wealth management environments
