Database Administrator Specialist - SC Cleared

DBA Specialist - £540 per day - SC Clearance preferred

Atrium EMEA are supporting a large managed service provider looking for a DBA specialist with proven experience in a similar role. Strong understanding of database concepts and principles. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. Knowledge of database security best practices. Experience with database replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.

Required Skills: RDBMS
Proficiency in one or more database management systems (eg, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with cloud-based database services (eg, AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.

Highly Desirable:
Experience with Scripting languages (esp. PowerShell)
Some working knowledge of NetAPP OnTap and SnapCenter

Nice to have skills: Required continued:
Awareness of Apache Tomcat & JVM
Experience of overcoming VLDB challenges
Strong understanding of SQL
Knowledge of operating systems, such as Linux and Windows
Experience with Automation such as Ansible
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Location: Onsite - Leicester/Hursley 5x a week.
Ability to be on call evenings/weekends for P1/P2 incidents (paid extra)
