Role Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, strategic Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across our [Commercial / Education / Retail] sectors. You will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, building a robust pipeline, and delivering cutting-edge audio-visual and collaboration solutions to enterprise clients.

This is a revenue-generating role with accountability for both sales’ growth and gross profit contribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities, while also expanding and nurturing existing client relationships.

The role includes responsibility for developing and implementing strategic account plans for key clients, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and building long-term partnerships to drive repeat business and sustainable revenue growth. It also requires ensuring a smooth and effective handover of projects to the installation team to maintain quality and client satisfaction.

In addition, the position involves ongoing market intelligence activities, including monitoring competitor activity and pricing trends, identifying emerging technology opportunities, and providing informed feedback to leadership to support strategic positioning and commercial decision-making.

This is not simply a volume sales role; we are seeking someone who understands margin, commercial discipline, and long-term client value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Deliver against defined gross profit margin expectations
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline (minimum 3x target coverage)
  • Forecast accurately and report on pipeline performance

  • Identify and secure new clients within agreed target sectors
  • Proactively generate leads through networking, referrals and outreach
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits and solution discussions
  • Lead proposals, quotations and commercial negotiations
  • Ability to cover a radius of approximately 125 miles to ensure coverage of our key London and South-East accounts.

Location: Hybrid

Salary & Commission: Basic £40,000 (£70,000 OTE)

Car Allowance: Consideration after 6 months of continuous service

Expenses: Full mileage reimbursement (HMRC rates), rail travel (incl. London Underground) and client entertainment.

Technology: Laptop and mobile phone provided
