Project Manager - Shopify Migration

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Contract) to lead and oversee a Shopify migration project. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing Shopify replatforming initiatives and will be responsible for coordinating internal stakeholders and an external agency to ensure successful project delivery within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management of a Shopify migration.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (content, marketing, brand, eCommerce, creative, technical, customer services and legal teams) and the external development agency.
  • Coordinate with internal content specialist to manage content and imagery delivery, ensuring all assets are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Collate feedback from internal stakeholders and consolidate structured feedback for the external agency.
  • Oversee testing phases (UAT, functionality testing, content QA) and provide clear, actionable feedback.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
  • Proactively identify, track, and communicate project risks, dependencies, and issues to key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide progress updates.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical execution.
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders have training required ahead of launch
  • Support go-live planning and post-launch stabilization activities.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing Shopify migration or replatforming projects (essential).
  • Strong understanding of Shopify platform capabilities and eCommerce best practices.
  • Experience working with external agencies and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Experience managing timelines, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Familiarity with UAT processes and QA coordination.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands on capability to be able to assist and support wider team in elements such as content migration

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with Magento / Adobe Commerce platforms.
  • Previous involvement in multi-platform eCommerce environments.
  • Understanding of integrations (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, 3PL).

Contract Details

  • Contract role (duration to be defined)
  • Working with teams in multiple time zones, but primarily with those in UK.
  • Remote (as applicable)
