Senior ML Engineer (info retrieval/doc extraction)

We’re partnering with a Series B scale up that is redefining how data and information is used in capital markets. They have grown to over 300 people, and are heavily investing in their ML & AI product teams.

The role:

You'll join as a Sr ML Engineer, working on critical models and systems to their core product. These problems are centred around document extraction and information retrieval - think 400 page long PDFs, analysed at scale and extracted data is then ingested into their intelligence platform.

What you’ll be working on:

• Design and build ML applications tailored to complex financial and legal workflows, leveraging state-of-the-art models to deliver innovative, practical solutions that streamline decision-making and unlock new efficiencies.
• Drive and own end to end model development lifecycle
• Collaborate cross functionally to understand business problems, working with product teams.
• Stay abreast of ground-breaking research and approaches in advanced topics

You’ll thrive if you:

• Strong proficiency in Python for production ready delivery.
• Deep understanding of the ML/AI landscape and agentic frameworks.
• Hands-on professional experience in one or more of the areas: NLP, Information Retrieval stacks, LLMs.
• Experience working in the full model lifecycle (including experimentation, training, testing, monitoring, and deployment).
• Good knowledge of AWS’s infrastructure.
