Finance Systems Analyst - Insurance - London, City
Hybrid working - 3 days onsite, 2 days remotely
Joining this Insurance Company as a Finance Systems Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining and developing financial reports, preparing detailed financial records, and analysing current and future reporting needs.
Key responsibilities:-
- Design, build and maintain financial and operational reports using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle BI, and Smart View, based on user requirements
- Deliver ad-hoc reporting supporting the Finance Team
- Maintain and update reporting tables, views, and replications within the Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, validate data integrity, and support business insight
- Lead and participate in ad-hoc data cleansing and data-fixing initiatives, such as supplier merges, multicurrency balance corrections, and pre-payment adjustments
- Support the development and enhancement of Finance Systems
Key skills/experience:-
- Experience supporting the maintenance of accounting systems in the Insurance or Financial Services industry is essential
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP (Finance modules)
- Advanced Smart View skills, especially for financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting templates
- Solid SQL skills to be able to write SQL scripts from Oracle (Fusion and ADW) and building reports on user input
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) for report building, dashboards, and data modelling
- Hands-on experience with Oracle BI/OTBI including subject area analysis and custom report creating
- Understanding of ADW table, views and data structures
- Ability to analyse large and complete datasets, identify patterns, and produce insights
