Data Engineer

Our client is a leading global investment management firm, seeking a Data Engineer to join an experienced team responsible for managing all data feeding into trading strategies across various asset classes and leveraging data pipelines heavily in your day-to-day to carry out the following:

Job Responsibilities:

• Understanding new and existing data products delivered by data vendors and liaising with them as a technical stakeholder.
• Using Python coding to translate these products into datasets optimised for trading system consumption.
• Create and maintain automated data quality tests to ensure all datasets meet the standards determined by quant strategies.
• Support the day-to-day operations of data pipelines by responding to issues and solving real-time problems.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM subject.
• 2+ years experience in Python and SQL.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Advantageous:

• Any operational experience supporting real-time systems.
• Working knowledge of Amazon S3, Airflow, Kafka, Docker.
