Electrician Lead

Due to continued growth, our client is expanding its electrical team and is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrician Lead/Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with commercial electrical experience to join a dynamic and fast-growing department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing electrical projects from design through to completion, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a small team of engineers, providing daily direction and support
  • Manage and carry out commercial electrical installations
  • Oversee projects from initial design to final completion
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and quality requirements
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits
  • Report weekly to the Head of Department on project progress, team performance, and any issues
  • Support the Electrical Manager with planning, organising, and operational activities
  • Assist with procurement of materials and coordination of subcontractors
  • Carry out inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial electrical installations
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and current regulations
  • Understanding of security systems (e.g. door access, CCTV, intruder alarms) is desirable
  • 2391-52 Testing and Inspection qualification preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on safety and quality
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Full clean UK Driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
