Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Cambridge/London - Hybrid
Salary Range: £37,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)
30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join their Platform and System Services team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in implementing, administering, and maintaining a suite of public and private cloud systems and services. Your expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, and infrastructure will be instrumental in meeting our operational requirements and driving excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision, administer, and operate networks, servers, systems, and software, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Lead in addressing escalated calls, following incident management and service request fulfilment lifecycles.
• Contribute to projects and large-scale business-as-usual activities, taking a senior role where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent with relevant professional qualification.
• Substantial experience in administering servers in a medium-scale enterprise network environment.
• Expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and server virtualization techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Desired Skills:

• Microsoft Fundamentals Certification.
• VMWare Certified Professional.
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
