PowerBI Unf*ck Engineer (aka GenBI Forward Deployed Engineer)
The Situation:
Our customers are drowning in PowerBI dashboards that nobody uses. You know the ones:
- Takes minutes to load
- Shows data from last Thursday
- Requires 3 clicks and 2 filters just to answer "are we up or down?"
- Built by a consultant who's long gone
- Maintained by nobody
92% of user interactions are questions, not dashboard clicks. Yet we keep building dashboards like it's 2015.
What You'll Actually Do:
Walk into enterprise accounts and:
- Diagnose their PowerBI (or any other dashboarding tool) disaster zones (bonus points if you can keep a straight face)
- Show them there's a better way (spoiler: it's Generative BI)
- Build proof-of-concepts that make executives say "wait, it can just... answer questions?"
- Deploy our AI data platform (Milo) and watch people's minds melt
- Train their teams to stop asking "where's that metric in the dashboard?" and start asking "why did the campaign underperform?"
You're Probably Our Person If:
- You've built PowerBI, Google Looker etc. solutions you're secretly ashamed of
- You can explain why DAX is both powerful and a crime against humanity
- You've heard "can you just add one more slicer?" in your nightmares
- You believe Business Intelligence should create decisions, not pretty charts
- You can translate between "executive who wants answers" and "IT who wants governance"
- You're comfortable telling a VP their $500K dashboard investment was a mistake (diplomatically)
What We're NOT Looking For:
- PowerBI evangelists who think the problem is user adoption
- People who put "data storytelling" on their LinkedIn headline
- Dashboard beautifiers
- Anyone who unironically uses the phrase "single source of truth"
Why This Role Exists:
Autonomous Minds is building the infrastructure for decision-making, not just data visualization. We're not adding a chatbot to PowerBI. We're replacing the entire paradigm by doing what analytics and BI were supposed to do: provide answers and help make decisions.
Someone needs to show enterprises what's possible when you stop forcing knowledge workers to hunt through dashboards and start giving them direct answers.
Compensation: Base GBP 50,000 + Bonus + Equity
