Senior Go Engineer (Founding Engineer)

Dashboards tell what. Milo tells why—and does what’s next. Milo is an agentic Generative BI platform and the decision platform of the future. Over the past 12 months we have built an AI data layer with an agent framework on top – bespoke, inhouse technology.

We need a hands-on builder working side by side with our CTO.

We are a team of 6 and just raised a seed round to boost our engineering and GTM motions.

What you’ll own (execution first)

• System Design and Architecture
• Full ownership of Milo’s data layer & query engine (Milo's brain), incl. Data Ingestion, Data Modeling & Integration, Data Access
• Infosec (Enterprise-readiness incl. RBAC, allow-listed write-backs, HiTL, and full audit trail)
• Engineering quality. Code reviews, mentoring, CI/CD, test automation; pragmatic refactors.

Must-haves

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years designing reliable, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
• Fluent in Go
• Proven track record of building software from the ground up, including infrastructure, CI/CD, and more
• Experience with data pipelines
• Comfortable speaking with customers and taking on multiple roles (support, debugging, operations—you name it). We're a small team, and everyone pitches “OUR baby.”
• Strong experience with SQL and a variety of storage systems (vector DBs, GraphDBs, Clickhouse etc.)
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Bonus Points For

• Building data platforms with Go
• Experience building AI agents with Go
• Experience with ML & data modeling

Compensation

• Base: from £75k
• Equity: up to 1.5% (3-yr vest)
